We have performance data for more than 50,000 engineers from hundreds of companies.

9.5% of software engineers do virtually nothing: Ghost Engineers.

Our model quantifies productivity by analyzing the source code of private Git repositories, simulating a panel of 10 experts who evaluate each commit in multiple dimensions. We have published an article about this.

We found that 14% of software engineers who work remotely are almost non-working (Ghost Engineers), compared to 9% in hybrid roles and 6% in the office.

On average, engineers who work from the office get better results, but remote engineers are more prevalent.
