62% of workers value the possibility of collaborating with their colleagues as the greatest advantage of going to the office.
A report by Knight Frank finds that more than half of businesses surveyed (55%) consider increasing the number of collaborative spaces in the office to be a priority as it increases productivity and employee satisfaction.
Here are some office design and decoration tips to increase productivity:
- Choose the correct arrangement of the furniture: To promote interaction between team members.
- Personalize the space: Imbuing the workspace with the company’s brand identity and with elements that represent its mission and values tends to reinforce the organizational culture.
- Maintain adequate lighting: Natural light is one of the keys to creating an optimal work environment.
The areas with the highest concentration of activity should be the most illuminated. - Incorporate natural elements: Natural materials such as wood and plants bring warmth and a touch of nature.
Indoor vegetation can reduce the concentration of toxins and increase air quality. - Enable enough rest spaces: Taking small breaks reduces stress, promotes concentration and improves performance.
Interaction between workers from different departments increases trust and allows creative solutions to be found to potential problems.
